Cranberry Pie recipe

Here is a simple and delicious recipe for cranberry pie:

Ingredients:

For the test:

2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder (soda)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, soft
1 egg
1 cup thick sour cream

For the filling:

2-3 cups of fresh cranberries
1/2 - 3/4 cup sugar (depending on the sweetness of cranberries)
2 tablespoons of starch (for example, corn)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add the butter and mix thoroughly until you get a crumb.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add sour cream. Mix it up.
Gradually add the sour cream and egg mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
Divide the dough in half. Roll out one half on a lightly buttered baking dish, forming the bottom layer of dough.
In a bowl, mix the cranberries, sugar and starch. Spread this filling evenly over the bottom layer of dough.
Roll out the second half of the dough and cover the filling with it. Secure the edges of the dough to avoid leaks.
Make several incisions in the upper layer of the dough so that the steam evaporates.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the pie to cool before slicing.
